Black Palm Pen Blanks – Stabilized
Black Palm is actually a grass, related to bamboo. However, this stabilized version is not difficult to turn with sharp HSS tools. Black Palm displays dark-chocolate lines on a dark tan background. Tree growth patterns are conducive to a uniform density and so the material is great for pens and another small projects. Trees can grow to 100 feet tall.
We have stabilized these 6-inch blanks (about 7/8′ square) to nearly twice their normal weight, to make them turner-friendly.
Blanks as shown are priced per each. A group is shown to demonstrate the consistency of one blank to the next.
