Black Palm Pen Blanks – 5′
Black Palm is actually a grass, related to bamboo. However, this version is not difficult to turn with sharp HSS tools. Black Palm displays dark-chocolate lines on a dark tan background. Tree growth patterns are conducive to a uniform density and so the material is great for pens and another small projects. Trees can grow to 100 feet tall.
These 5-inch blanks have not been stabilized, so they should be turned with sharp tools for good results.
